Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and adapt comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights
• Identify and respond to patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory
• Delegate and assign care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency
• Communicate and coordinate with the healthcare team and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and optimize workflow

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in a registered nurse role
• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
• ADN or BSN required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Operating Room setting
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk, or unusual clinical situations
• Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care conferencing
