Key Responsibilities
- Provides individualized, holistic, and age-specific patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develops and adapts comprehensive, culturally appropriate plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Serves as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
- Identifies and responds to patient and family educational needs through individualized education planning and adult-learning principles.
- Delegates and assigns care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency.
- Communicates and coordinates with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and workflow.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required prior to start.
- Minimum of three years of recent experience working in an RN role.
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
- OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery experience required, including women's procedures, C-sections, and hysterectomy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a registry or per diem RN capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk, or unusual clinical situations and seek appropriate resources.
