Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 5x8 Hours | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Projected Start: 07/20/2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with nursing standards; modify plans based on patient outcomes and clinical evaluations.
  • Perform Point of Care testing procedures and implement timely, documented nursing interventions appropriate to patient needs.
  • Coordinate and delegate team work assignments based on patient and unit needs; follow up on delegated tasks to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
  • Promote a positive, professional work environment; serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and visitors while supporting unit growth and organizational performance goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact state RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Operating Room / Surgical nursing.
  • Ability to meet weekend call and on-call requirements; floating to other locations as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Current knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in a surgical setting.
  • Experience in a fast-paced acute care or perioperative environment with demonstrated adaptability to changing schedules and workflows.
