Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room in Springfield, OR

Contract | Days | 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | 13 Weeks | Minimum of four call shifts per month expected

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality surgical patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
• Perform scrubbing duties and assist physicians during surgical cases, with expertise in total joints, orthopedics, spine, and da Vinci robotic procedures
• Ensure appropriate supplies are available, maintain timeliness of cases, and update physician preference cards
• Communicate with patient families and supervise personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN License required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in total joints, orthopedics, spine, and da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery
• No local candidates will be accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-volume or fast-paced surgical environments
• Familiarity with spine program expansion and block scheduling coordination
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and family updates
