Operating Room Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate should be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position includes responsibilities in various surgical specialties, focusing on providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Shift Information

• Days: Tuesday to Friday
• Hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call Requirements: 1 night a week and every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
• Scrub in and participate actively as part of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile environment to prevent any surgical site infections.
• Provide patient assessments and implement care plans based on patient needs.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system (Cerner).

Qualifications

• Valid RN Licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience in Ortho, ENT, Plastics, General, Robotics, and Urology
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Ability to scrub during surgical procedures
• Robotic experience is preferred

Additional Information

The role involves a 1:1 patient ratio, with a focus on delivering safe and effective care within a 6-bed operating room setting. Scrubs will be provided.
