Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within an acute hospital setting. The role requires maintaining a high standard of patient safety and adhering to sterile techniques during various surgical procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3x12-hour days, starting at either 0645 or 0900, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, 2 years of experience in the operating room setting, BLS certification required, ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred, experience with Epic charting system required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma and complex surgical procedures, proficiency in robotics (e.g., Xi Robot, Mazor Robot Spine).
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred.
- Open to accommodating block schedules? No.
- Float: Float to similar units may be required within scope.
- Additional Information: Candidates must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto-offer. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. References: Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, including charge nurse or lead roles preferred.
