Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a DC RN license and acute care experience.

Details

• Operating Room setting supporting surgical procedures
• 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary surgical team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS and PALS certification (AHA only) required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Minimum one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting
• At least two years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the OR specialty required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities

Additional Information

• Deliver patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after operations
• Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and implement infection control protocols
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous twelve months, with at least one from the most recent employer
