Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves providing specialized patient care within the operating room environment. The RN will coordinate and implement patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, while demonstrating professionalism and respect for patients, families, and team members.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS certification from the American Heart Association; graduate of an accredited nursing program; minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN in operating room or related setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in surgical or operating room settings
  • Responsibilities:
    • Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on patient needs
    • Develop and implement measurable, individualized plans of care within established standards
    • Make nursing decisions based on facts and patient outcomes, modifying the plan as needed
    • Perform point-of-care testing procedures and participate in discharge planning and patient education
    • Delegate and coordinate team assignments, ensuring timely and complete patient care
    • Promote a positive work environment, demonstrate professional attitude, and participate in unit growth and development
    • Exhibit effective communication to foster teamwork and resolve issues
    • Promote patient satisfaction and uphold confidentiality and rights
    • Participate in special projects and maintain compliance with all safety and organizational policies
    • Maintain professional growth and adhere to all organizational standards
