- Schedule: Monday through Thursday
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500 - $2,630
OR Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Idaho RN license or compact state RN license upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- At least 1 year of perioperative nursing, surgical nursing, or operating room experience required; multiple years preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Ability to use sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and abstract reasoning in patient care
- Availability for routine scheduled call for emergency surgical services
Perioperative RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for neonate through geriatric surgical patients
- Support patients in pre-operative, intra-operative, PACU, and post-operative areas
- Prepare patients for surgery and communicate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams
- Complete assessments, reassessments, documentation, and discharge teaching throughout the perioperative experience
- Ensure pre-op checklists, informed consent, test results, and surgical site verification are complete
- Position, prep, and drape patients safely and correctly for procedures
- Maintain medical and surgical asepsis before, during, and after procedures
- Assist with medication administration, specimen handling, surgical counts, and report communication
- Prepare and clean OR suites between cases and after terminal cases
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, sterilization, and biological monitoring
- Serve as circulating RN and scrub RN once trained
- Act as a patient advocate throughout every phase of perioperative care
