Registered Nurse (RN) - Pain Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in pain management procedures, particularly in an operating room (OR) setting. The ideal candidate will practice independently while demonstrating awareness of clinical situations and providing routine and complex patient care. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and managing contingencies while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the applicable competencies, including leadership roles in nursing practice.
• Deliver nursing care based on assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Acknowledge and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Evaluate and address learning needs, offering education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:

Education and Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty, particularly in pain management.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or compact state license.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment to a 4-day work week, with shifts averaging 10 hours. Weekend and floating requirements are also part of the role.
