Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality and compassionate patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
• Manage and monitor medication drips and other prescribed treatments.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities as appropriate.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify variances from patient goals and participate in implementing appropriate solutions.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry RN experience required.
• Medication drip experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Michigan RN License required.
• BLS – AHA required.
• ACLS – AHA required and must be in hand.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.

Schedule Notes:

• 13-week contract.
• Auto Offers Approved.
• Facility cannot accommodate block scheduling requests. They will attempt to schedule shifts consecutively but cannot guarantee the same days each week.
• OT is billed after 48 hours.

Important: Candidates must have 2+ years of recent PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience, medication drip experience, and current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications.
