Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participating in patient rehabilitation, initiating discharge planning and education, and providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Assumes charge responsibility after orientation, delegates appropriately, and ensures safety and quality patient outcomes.
Candidates should demonstrate professional development through ongoing education and self-study.
Additional responsibilities: maintaining communication across care teams, managing supplies and documentation, supporting unit team activities, and promoting a safe, efficient work environment.
