Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Typically 2-3 holidays required during winter, otherwise every other holiday
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Self-scheduling with manager to balance, opens 6 weeks in advance
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6 dependent on acuity
• Nurse aide support available: Days 1:9, Nights 1:12
• 28-bed Progressive Care Unit with a neuro focus
• Common diagnoses include strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barré, Myasthenia Gravis, spinal injuries, thrombectomies, TNK/TPA 24 hours post, AMS, dementia, trauma ortho injuries, hematomas, bleeds, falls on blood thinners, and farm and MVA accidents
• Must have 2 years of MS, PCU, or ICU experience with at least 1 year of recent experience in that setting
• Drip titration required - common drips include Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3% saline, and Insulin
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience highly preferred; willing to train on vents but must be open to learning
• RT equipment includes vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and EtCO2
• Central monitor located in a separate area
• Floating may be required to sister MS units across 6 different specialties including mixed care, cardiac, general, MS ortho, and heme/onc
• Any solid color scrubs required
• Orientation consists of 1 general shift and 1 shift with a preceptor
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a wide range of specialized medical services. The Progressive Care Unit features a strong neurology focus and supports complex patient populations requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical interventions. The facility provides a collaborative care environment with charge nurse and house supervisor support, dedicated nurse aides, and access to respiratory therapy equipment to support high-acuity patient care needs.
