Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available on days (7:00 AM - 7:30 AM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Typically 2-3 holidays required for winter, otherwise every other holiday
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Self-scheduling with manager to balance, opens 6 weeks in advance
• 28-bed Progressive Care Unit with a neuro focus
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6 dependent on acuity
• Nurse aide support available: Days 1:9, Nights 1:12
• Common diagnoses include strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barré, Myasthenia Gravis, spinal injuries, thrombectomies, TNK/TPA 24 hours post, neuro specialties, AMS, dementia, trauma ortho injuries, hematomas and bleeds, falls on blood thinners, and farm/MVA accidents
• Must have 2 years of MS, PCU, or ICU experience with experience in setting within the last 1 year
• Must have drip experience; required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3%, and Insulin
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience highly preferred; willing to train on vents but RN must be open to learning
• RT equipment includes vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and EtCO2
• Central telemetry monitor located in a different area
• Floating required to sister MS units across 6 different specialties including mixed care, cardiac, general, MS ortho, and heme/onc
• Any solid color scrubs required
• Orientation consists of 1 shift of general orientation and 1 shift with a preceptor
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Open to first-time travelers

The facility supports a wide range of complex diagnoses and offers robust specialty support across six distinct care areas.
