Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves working within a 28-bed unit specializing in neuro and trauma patient care, focusing on strokes, seizures, spinal injuries, and trauma ortho injuries. Nurses will provide advanced patient monitoring and care, including titratable drips, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details:
- Location: Marshfield, WI
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Certifications Required: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, at least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical (MS), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with recent experience within the last 12 months. Experience with drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with home trach vents is highly preferred; travelers with this experience are encouraged to apply.
- Schedule: Self-scheduling available, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday. No call or standby requirements; floating to sister units may be required.
- Additional Information:
- The unit has a variety of equipment including vents, Trachs, Cpap, Bipap, Vapotherm, Etco2 monitor.
- RNs are required to read their own monitor strips.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights, depending on acuity.
- Nurses may work in a mixed environment across several specialties including neuro, cardiac, general, orthopedics, and hematology/oncology.
- Orientation consists of a general shift plus one shift with a preceptor.
- Candidates must note if they have previously worked at this facility, with at least six months prior end date.
- The unit employs Cerner charting system.
