Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2400 to $2590
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring following ICU or high-acuity treatment
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, respiratory status, and neurological condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and post-operative conditions, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in condition
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Operate and monitor telemetry equipment and other stepdown monitoring devices
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive clinical outcomes
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown, Progressive Care (PCU), or Telemetry nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
Experience with telemetry monitoring and caring for medically complex patients
Strong assessment, communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care
