Job Summary: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Psychology is sought for a facility setting focused on adolescent mental health. This role involves providing care for patients with various psychiatric conditions in an inpatient adolescent unit. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dedicated mental health environment with a team committed to patient stability and recovery.
Job Details:
Location: Westbrook, Maine
Shift: Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Schedule: 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
Start Date: 09/06/2026
End Date: 11/27/2026
Required Qualifications: Education modules, minimum of 2 years of experience, experience with acute inpatient adolescent psychiatric care, de-escalation skills, experience with mental health patients including thought disordered, psychotic, personality disorder, and manic patients.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric mental health care, ability to remain calm and maintain a professional demeanor, strong de-escalation skills.

Number of beds: 6-bed inpatient unit
Patient ratios: 3:5
Equipment: Not applicable
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Not applicable
Dress Code: Business casual attire; no ripped jeans, shorts, logos on t-shirts or sweatshirts, or open-toed shoes.
Additional Information: The role requires the ability to manage multiple acutely psychiatric adolescent patients, utilizing de-escalation and mental health intervention skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
