Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 14–22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 4:1
- Perform and assist with procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
- Support thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants, as well as neuro, orthopedic, and general surgery services
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Function as a collaborative team member in a supportive, full-team environment where all staff assist one another
- Float to NICU Level 1 or Level 2 as needed; fulfill weekend commitment of 4 weekend days per 4-week period
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in a charge-nurse-free unit environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
