Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $2,340 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Stepdown Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years of Pediatric Experience Required License: Active State RN License Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: Trach and ventilator management experience required Pediatric experience acceptable with required skills Knowledge of feeding disorders and failure to thrive Familiarity with spinal cord injury and post-ortho surgical care Ability to manage respiratory or cardiac patients Description: The Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse will work on a mixed unit that focuses on rehabilitation. This unit primarily cares for pediatric and adolescent patients. The patient population includes those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, burns, feeding disorders, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and post-orthopedic surgical recovery. The nurse will be expected to provide extensive therapy support including speech, physical, and occupational therapy for patients requiring rehabilitation. Management of tracheostomies and ventilators is a critical responsibility. Daily patient ratios will be 1:4. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. The Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse will float to other departments as needed, but primarily must be comfortablefloating within designated units.
