Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,191 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: - Float required between Pre-op and PACU - Experience in pre-op for both inpatients and outpatients - Phase II Recovery experience ending with discharge home Description: Perm candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. The role requires experience in various surgical procedures, including general surgery, vascular procedures, and more. The position involves approximately 3-4% pediatrics, but travelers will not be assigned to pediatrics. Occasionally, the role will include pre-op for vascular catheter lab procedures and endoscopy. Skills required include conscious sedation and IV start. The patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit handles pre-op for a variety of procedures including ENT, eye surgeries, OB-GYN, plastics, and transplant surgeries. The daily environment is fast-paced and requires teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support. References covering 1 year within the last 3 years will be required during the compliance process before starting. Special procedures and unit details will be communicated as part of the onboarding process.
