Shift: 3x12s – Days/Evenings (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM or 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Call Requirement: Yes (Day & Night call required)
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Travel Experience: Required (No first-time travelers)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PACU Travel RN with strong critical care background and pediatric anesthesia recovery experience. This unit requires advanced skills in ventilators, arterial lines, titratable drips, and post-anesthesia recovery for both adult and pediatric patients.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (In hand at submission)

• Minimum 2 years PACU experience

• 1 year ICU experience OR 2 years ED experience (with vents/lines/drips proficiency)

• Pediatric recovery experience (Infant/Toddler/Adolescent)

• Experience recovering children under 4 years old

• Travel experience required

Required Certifications

• BLS

• ACLS

• PALS

• COVID-19 Vaccine + Booster

Clinical Skills Required

Critical Care

• Ventilator management (Adults)

• Arterial lines & CVP monitoring

• Titration of IV drips

• Dysrhythmia recognition

• ABG interpretation

• Chest tube management

PACU & Anesthesia

• General anesthesia recovery

• Post-epidural management

• Nerve blocks

• PCA pump management

• RASS scoring

Pediatric Experience

• Infant & toddler general anesthesia recovery

• PICU post-procedure recovery

• Management of comorbid pediatric cases

Surgical Case Experience

• Total Joint Replacement

• Bariatric

• Cardiac (TAVR, Mitra Clip, Watchman, Ablations)

• Neuro/Spine

• Ortho

• General Surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernia Repair)

• Urology (Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Chemo removal from bladder)
