- Dysrhythmia recognition and management.
- Blood product administration.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Starting IVs and IV vasopressors.
- ICP monitoring.
- Care of ventilated patients.
Description:
This position involves working in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
The shift is from 07:30 to 18:00, covering four 10-hour days.
No weekends or call duty are required.
The average daily census is between 70 to 90 patients.
The unit has 38 patient bays and is open 24/7.
Staff will be needed for the recovery of a vast array of postoperative patients.
Surgical patients include those recovering from neurosurgery, ENT procedures, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant surgeries.
There is no recovery of open heart surgeries or liver transplants.
Experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and general anesthesia recovery is required.
Candidates must possess high acuity inpatient PACU and ICU experience.
All travelers will float within the service line as needed.
Candidates must be prepared to work with a diverse patient population that includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric patients.
Compliance with additional requirements may be needed prior to starting the role.
