Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,434 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS and BLS required, CCRN and CPI preferred Must-Have: - Strong critical thinking skills - Experience in high acuity patient settings - Ability to float within the hospital Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the PACU specialty. The unit has a high acuity patient population, ages 12 and older. It offers a fast-paced environment and cares for patients post-procedure after sedation, both outpatient and inpatient. Unstable ICU patients are received directly into the unit. Responsibilities include performing technical tasks such as TEE, cardioversion, epidural block placement, and lumbar injections. Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of ICU experience. PACU nurses with 2+ years of experience in a high acuity level PACU will also be considered. The unit will provide training for those transitioning from ICU to PACU. Candidates must be comfortable managing a variety of patient situations, including performing critical assessments and interventions. Weekend availability is required, unless otherwise noted in scheduling. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit operates with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. In cases of low census, healthcare providers may be called off without charge or placed on-call for standard on-call rates.
