Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,674 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must have state RN license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Pediatric experience preferred Description: PACU RN license pending is acceptable. Must be able to complete state RN license application within 48 hours of signing. Must have RN license in hand for auto offer. Assignment length is for 13 weeks. Start date is estimated to be as soon as possible. Shifts are 3x12 variable. Variable shifts include 0700-1900, 0800-2000, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, and 1100-2300. First timers are accepted. On-call requirements include 6 calls per 8-week period. Nurses are required to be present within 30 minutes of being called. Call sleep rooms are available for those who live far away or prefer to stay on site. Weekend coverage for on-call is required. Float within scope to meet facility needs is possible. Open to accommodating block schedule is not available. Local candidates will not be accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. All requests for time off will be approved on an individual basis. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours per 2 weeks; travelers may be called off for one 12-hour shift every 2 weeks. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience should be at least 2:1. Charting system experience is preferred with Epic. Travel experience is required. Special skills required include inpatient care, phase I PACU management, and various procedures. Requirement to respond to call shifts includes one call shift per week. Special equipment may include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Daily census is around 40 patients. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed. Inflexibility beyond contracted schedule or time off requests could lead to contract termination. References from two individuals covering one year of experience within the last three years are required.
