Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift, delivering care consistent with the nursing process and medical plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care delivery across applicable age groups.
- Prescribe and implement nursing care plans based on patient assessment, input from patients, and significant others.
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire.
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting system must be documented for each work history entry.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Acute care facility experience preferred.
