    Travel RN - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

    Santa Fe, New Mexico

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 10-Hour Rotating Shifts (4 days/week) | 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with nursing standards.
    • Reassess patients systematically to identify trends, make comprehensive nursing decisions, and modify the plan of care based on patient outcomes.
    • Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; implement and document timely, appropriate interventions.
    • Coordinate team assignments, delegate unit work appropriately, and follow up on delegated tasks for quality and completeness.
    • Perform Point of Care testing procedures and maintain compliance with all patient and environmental safety policies.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
    • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Availability for 2 weekends of call per month (Saturday/Sunday = 1 weekend) and one night call per week.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
    • Experience floating to other units within surgical services.
    • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in a PACU setting.
