Travel Nurse RN - Postpartum - $1,857 per week in Denver, CO

Job Title: Travel RN - Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS & NRP required; experience in a Mother/Baby Unit preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby experience - BLS & NRP certifications - Flexibility with schedule - Ability to adapt quickly to new situations Description: This position is for a Travel RN specializing in Postpartum care. The unit consists of 23 beds and approximately 80 staff members. Staff on the day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 CNAs, and 9-10 RNs on the floor. During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, and 2-3 RNs in the nursery. Patient ratios are estimated at 3 or 4 patients per RN, not guaranteed. The main computer system used is the CPN EMR. Typical responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and administering medications. You will also manage perineal care and educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, patient, and a team player. Communication with staff and providers is a priority in this role.
