Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,584 per week in Denver, CO

Job Title: Travel RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital telemetry experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital telemetry experience BLS & ACLS Description: This position is for a travel Registered Nurse in a telemetry unit. The work schedule is from 07:00 to 19:00. The unit has 18 beds and a staff of 32. The typical patient ratio is 5:1 for RNs. Required equipment includes Philips monitors, Alaris pumps, dopplers, Welch-Allyn VS machines, Mobilab, and glucometers. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is Meditech. Preferred candidates will have prior Meditech experience. Typical procedures performed include minimally invasive surgeries, colectomy, and ostomy procedures. Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, sepsis, DKA, and pneumonia. Candidates should be proficient in trach and ostomy care. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who are invested in good patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will enjoy a busy environment and be able to shift priorities with ease. Candidates who have experience in precepting and coaching new nurses will be preferred. Core staff typically work 4 weekend shifts per schedule period. Travelers are scheduled similarly depending on their availability.
