Cardiac post-procedural experience
Comfortable titrating medications including but not limited to:
- Argatroban
- Digoxin
- Diltiazem
- Dobutamine
- Dofetilde
- Dopamine
- Esmolol
- Lasix
- Insulin
- Labetalol
- Lidocaine
- Milrinone
- Nicardipine
- Nitroglycerine
- Sotalol
- Tirofiban
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in a Progressive Care Unit.
The unit has 28 beds with an average patient census of 26.
Patient ratios are 1 RN to 4-5 patients.
Certified Nursing Assistants will support the RNs by obtaining vital signs and blood glucose checks.
They will also assist with hourly safety rounds and activities of daily living.
A receptionist and healthcare unit coordinator will be available on the unit.
There may be a charge nurse, who may or may not have a patient assignment.
Phlebotomy services are available for peripheral blood draws.
Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7, and assistance can be requested as needed.
Clientists and intensivists are available around the clock.
Nurses are responsible for monitoring and verifying telemetry strips once a shift.
The electronic medical record system used is Epic.
IV pumps and medication dispensing systems are in place for efficient patient care.
A family atmosphere is fostered within the unit, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
