Job Title: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care UnitProfession: RNSpecialty: Progressive CareDuration: 13 weeksShift: 12-hour Night ShiftHours per Shift: 36Experience: Minimum of 18 months Progressive Care Unit RN experience requiredLicense: Current RN LicenseCertifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSMust-Have:- Ability to manage critical care drips including Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Blood products- General Progressive Care skillset including stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care and management, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, and PCA pumpsDescription:We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit.The candidate will care for patients with conditions like stroke, heart failure, chest pain, and other respiratory illnesses.Experience with fluid resuscitation, blood products, and managing various GI disorders and infections is essential.Patient ratios are typically RN to patient ratios of 1:3-4 and CNA ratios of 1:5-6.Candidates should be able to function well in a fast-paced environment, given the nature of the unit.Support within the department includes a charge nurse available 24/7, and a resource nurse as available.Nurses will have the responsibility of monitoring patient telemetry and performing necessary assessments without the assistance of a monitoring tech.This role may require floating to other facilities within the region as needed.Travelers are expected to work a high percentage of holidays, with a weekend rotation every other week.We look forward to receiving candidates who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
