Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,876 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac procedural experience including CABG, valve replacement/repair, LVADs, heart transplant, AAA repair, and carotids. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 22 beds with an average census of 21 patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3-5, depending on patient acuity. There is a support team including CNAs, a unit secretary, and a charge nurse. Rapid response and intensivist teams are available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is conducted with tech interpreting cardiac strips. Experience in cardiology is required, particularly in post-procedural care. Candidates should be able to interpret cardiac rhythms and titrate medications as necessary. The unit fosters a teamwork-oriented culture, and staff are passionate about their work. Specific equipment includes EMR systems, IV pumps, and cardiac monitoring devices. Training on unit-specific equipment will be provided as needed. Floating to other units may occur based on operational needs.
