Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,938 per week in Beaufort, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: 2 years of med-surg experience required; must have step-down/PCU experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS Must-Have: - Comfortable floating between Med-Surg and PCU/Step Down units - Ability to manage patient ratios as follows: Step Down 1:4-5, Med-Surg 1:5-6 - Must have experience with IV starts and various patient care procedures Description: This role is focused on patient care within the Med-Surg and Step Down environment. Registered Nurses will float frequently between units, requiring adaptability. Expected to manage a range of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to stroke, hyperglycemia, and renal failure. Nurses will work with diverse age groups such as adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census for the unit is approximately 23 patients. The facility supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various healthcare teams. Special procedures and equipment include teleneuro carts and specific care management tasks. Travelers without pediatric experience will not be assigned to pediatric patients. Familiarity with the Meditech charting system is preferred but not required for all positions. Availability for some holidays and weekends in rotation with the staff is expected. The facility has high patient care ratios and requires flexibility in floating policies.
