Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,001 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience License: Current RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must have 2 years of nursing experience. Experience working with tracheostomies is required. Description: The unit consists of 23 step-down beds and 16 medical-surgical beds. The staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 registered nurses, and 4 patient care technicians on the day shift. On the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 10 registered nurses, and 4 patient care technicians. Patient ratios are 1:3-4 for step-down care and 1:4-6 for medical-surgical care. The unit utilizes equipment such as lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and cares for stable vented patients. Tracheostomy care and wound dressing changes are typical procedures performed in the unit. Candidates should be flexible and possess a high level of clinical competence. Preference will be given to those with experience using Cerner EMR. The position requires working 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period. This role is a contractor replacement.
