Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,218 per week in Farmington, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IMC or Cardiology License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS (Must be from American Heart Association) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Cardiology or IMC experience. Minimum of 1 year preferred, 2 years IMC or Cardiology experience. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in cardiology and intermediate care. The facility has 198 beds and provides healthcare services to a diverse patient population. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients. The unit has a patient ratio of 1 RN to 3 patients for actively titrating drips during night shifts. During day shifts, the ratio is 1 RN to 4 patients for intermediate care. For medical/surgical patients, the ratio is 1 RN to 5-6 patients during day and night shifts. The nurse will use standard cardiology monitoring equipment and electronic health records. Floating to other units may be required as needed. Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, Non-STEMI, Stroke, Post-Cath, and ETOH. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
