Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,753 per week in Dayton, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 Years required License: Active state RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, OCN preferred Must-Have: Oncology experience required Sickle cell experience and chem certification preferred EPIC experience needed Experience in a 1:5 patient ratio in SD or PCU Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment Must be able to read and interpret strips Must be comfortable floating across units Description: This is a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients. The unit has mixed acuity, caring for both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients. It primarily manages blood products and chemotherapy patients. Nurses administer chemotherapy with ONS certification. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can vary from 1:5 to 1:6 based on acuity. Travelers must work every other weekend and holiday. Travelers will float as needed, supporting the nursing care team. Previous Charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred. Candidates must be comfortable with various levels of patient acuity.
