TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: - Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year - EPIC experience Description: Required skills include managing and titrating a variety of drips such as Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine. Position involves working in an Emergency Department, specifically caring for inpatient/CICU level holds in the ED. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating to similar units may be necessary as part of a team nursing approach. Patient diagnoses managed include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, and post-cardiac catheterization. Experience managing high-acuity patients is preferred. Special procedures involve managing and titrating IV drips, as well as providing care for various medical, surgical, trauma, orthopedic, and oncology patients. Experience with special equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and a Phillips Monitoring System is necessary. Candidates must have experience in blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and basic interpretation of arterial blood gases. Knowledge of isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience and familiarity with telemetry monitoring are advantageous. Travel experience in critical care settings is a plus. Applicants must be prepared to assist with patient sitting and team-based responsibilities.
