Job Title: Psychiatric Registered NurseProfession: RNSpecialty: PsychiatricDuration: 13 weeksShift: 12H NightsHours per Shift: 12Experience: Minimum 2 yearsLicense: RequiredCertifications: BLS (AHA)Must-Have:- Experience with 55+ geriatric psychiatric and dementia patients- Experience with bipolar patients- Ability to float to med-surg and possibly OBDescription:This is a 26-bed inpatient adult behavioral health department.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.Physical restraints are not used; there is a seclusion room available.This unit is not staffed to take 1:1 patients at this time.There are no monitor techs available; RNs will not be reading strips.All shifts are 12 hours long.Weekend requirements include working at least every third weekend.Holiday requirements are mandatory.Experience with floating outside of psychiatric nursing is highly preferred.Solid color scrubs are required; prints are not permitted.There is departmental orientation consisting of three 12-hour shifts.The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment.The charting system used is EPIC.
