Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care and follow provider orders.
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure safe patient care through proper protocols, hourly rounding, and bedside shift reports.
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor and address patient safety and quality issues.
- Participate in safety huddles, quality improvement, and performance initiatives.
- Maintain required competencies, training, certifications, and nursing licensure.
- Educate patients and families using culturally appropriate resources.
- Precept and support new nurses, nursing students, and other team members.
- Effectively delegate and supervise nursing assistants and other staff.
- Participate in shared governance, peer feedback, surveys, and hospital readiness activities.
- Complete required dysrhythmia training for telemetry-based departments.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
