Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgical ICU Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: Rotating 7A/7P Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Experience in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the operating room. License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting. Description: The Cardiovascular Surgical ICU is an 18-bed unit. It provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, and the placement of ventricular assist devices. It also manages other complex procedures. The nurse/patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Experience with ventilators, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Swan Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drip titration, Level 1 Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, and ECMO is required. Preferred certifications include ACLS, Critical Care Certification, trauma course, and EPIC experience.
