Job Details
Position Description: Daily parking is available with multiple options. Candidates must be open to floating and flexible with scheduling. The unit is busy, with high patient acuity, including post-op, cystic fibrosis, bariatric, and sickle cell cases, and may involve emergency codes. Proficiency in reading EKG strips, blood administration, and triaging is required. Experience with critical care, telemetry monitoring, and emergency responses is essential. The shift operates 12 hours, starting at 6:38 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; valid license to submit; experience with high-acuity patient care, telemetry monitoring, and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cystic Fibrosis and Sickle Cell patients, proficient in critical thinking and decision-making skills, and capable of reading and interpreting tele-monitor strips, including performing Relias EKG exams.
Responsibilities: Provide patient-centered care, perform wound and dressing changes, manage titratable drips, communicate effectively with physicians, recognize changes in patient conditions immediately, and support unit teamwork. Maintain proficiency in emergency protocols, including helping with CODEs.
Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:38 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
