Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of travel experience managing continuous IV medications. License: Active RN license in the state required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Prior experience with cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin. Experience with diuretics such as Bumex and Lasix. Familiarity with anticoagulants including Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin. Experience managing insulin drips. Description: Candidates must have experience managing continuous IV medications. The patient population consists of adults to geriatrics. The role includes arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, and chest pain. Nursing care for renal and pulmonary conditions will also be required. Patients with cardiac arrhythmias such as stable A-Fib, SVT, and bradycardia are included. Surgical cases like cholecystectomy and appendectomies may also be encountered. There will be occasional vascular patients and post-cardiac catheterization cases. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring is essential. An understanding of basic arrhythmias is required, alongside proficiency in Med/Surg protocols. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5-6. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility as needed. Participation in major holidays is expected if assigned during that time. Compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Travelers are required to work weekends, typically every other weekend.
