Job Summary Telemetry (TELE) Nurse - Days Shift, located in an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with cardiac or other high-acuity conditions within a 4W telemetry unit. The position requires clinical proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and managing complex patient needs.
Job Details
Position Description: Telemetry unit with 31 beds, including private and semi-private rooms; unit covers a variety of acute high-acuity diagnoses such as post pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset atrial fibrillation, RVR, strokes, TBI, sepsis, and other critical conditions.
Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications are required.
Education Requirements: Not specified.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or acute care setting.
Location Requirements: Candidates must be licensed to practice in the state where the facility is located.
Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, working during the hours of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms, report within 30 minutes if placed on standby or call, and work into a holiday rotation schedule. Travelers are expected to float to similar licensed units within the organization, including MedSurg remote telemetry and ICU for telemonitoring. Orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.
