The role focuses on providing care to patients with MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Telemetry

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Telemetry

• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
