Travel RN Telemetry job in Virginia Beach, VA: Medicine Unit 3 (2E Neuro) at the facility is a Magnet-recognized unit specializing in stroke care and acute neurological conditions. You must have at least 2 years of telemetry experience within the last 3 years, and nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:6. NIH certification is required to perform neurological exams, with neuro checks every four hours and NIH assessments every twelve hours on stroke patients. Vitals are done every four hours, and you may occasionally care for peritoneal dialysis patients. Common equipment includes bladder scanners, vitals machines, EKG machines, Alaris IV pumps, EPIC charting, and telemetry boxes. You will work with heparin and Cardizem drips but will not titrate vasoactive drips. Ancillary staff support is available.
