Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Telemetry / Intermediate Care

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite | Weekends and holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) / Telemetry setting within a large acute care facility
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and titration of drips
- Float to assigned units as needed, including medical, post-surgical, overflow med-surg, and negative airflow units
- Participate in holiday and weekend coverage on an as-needed basis
- Complete orientation as scheduled, beginning in HR and transitioning to the floor (12-hour orientation shifts)
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of IMC or Telemetry RN experience in a large facility or critical care environment
- Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - must be in hand prior to start
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
- Must meet all health screening requirements: 2-step TB test or blood draw within the past 12 months; Hep B, Varicella, and MMR immunization records or titers completed within the past 12 months; current TDAP required
Preferred Experience / Skills- ICU or critical care background
- Med/Surg experience
- Experience with ventilator management and titration of drips
