Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, including overflow telemetry patients
- Monitor and assess cardiovascular and telemetry patients across an 18-bed wing within a 54-bed unit
- Administer treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with care plans and physician orders
- Document patient assessments, care, and progress accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
- Adhere to scheduling requirements including every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights) and holiday coverage as applicable
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia, or active compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification and stroke education completed
- Telemetry or Cardiovascular specialty experience within the last year
- EPIC electronic health records experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
- One supervisory professional reference available at time of submittal
