Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, which includes a 54-bed unit split across three 18-bed wings as well as an overflow unit
- Monitor and assess cardiovascular telemetry patients throughout assigned shifts
- Adhere to a flexible scheduling requirement, including every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights)
- Be available to work any holidays that fall within the assignment period
- Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing needs
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic health record system
Required Qualifications- Active RN license valid in Virginia or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- Specialty experience in Telemetry or Cardiovascular Telemetry within the last year
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
Preferred Experience / Skills- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH and stroke education background
- Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
