Key Responsibilities
Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
Reassess patients systematically to identify trends and changes in condition that require clinical intervention?
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care
Provide nursing care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and high-risk medication patients (including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips) as well as respiratory patients on NIPPV (BiPAP, AirVo)
Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
Perform Point of Care testing procedures and document timely, appropriate interventions
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for telemetry patients in an acute care setting
Familiarity with NIPPV modalities including BiPAP and AirVo
Experience managing patients on high-risk drips and post-procedural cardiac or surgical care
