Travel Nurse RN - Trauma Intensive Care Unit - $1,738 per week in Plano, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN license Certifications: Required certifications Must-Have: - Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience - Strong communication and critical thinking skills Description: General Comments: The unit is a Burn Trauma ICU with a total of 30 beds and 85 staff members. The staff includes a CNC/Relief Charge on both day and night shifts, with RN and PCT counts varying based on census. Patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for PCU. The unit utilizes critical care equipment designed for burn and trauma cases. Electronic Medical Record system in use is Meditech. Candidates must possess trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience. Communication and critical thinking skills are essential. A BSN and CCRN certification are preferred but not required. Typical procedures performed include wound care, codes, EVDs, and MTP. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, willing to ask questions, and eager to assist colleagues. Floating areas may include MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit. Scrubs should be royal blue in color. There may be a requirement for two weekends of work per pay period.
