Seven Healthcare is pleased to offer a travel opportunity for a NICU Occupational Therapist in Salinas, CA. This assignment consists of 8-hour day shifts, 5 shifts per week, totaling 40 hours, with a weekly pay of $3,900.

Key Responsibilities of the NICU Occupational Therapist:
Evaluate and treat premature and medically fragile infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Develop individualized treatment plans to promote neurodevelopment, sensory integration, feeding readiness, and motor development
Perform developmental assessments and monitor infant progress throughout hospitalization
Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Educate and support parents and caregivers on infant positioning, developmental care, feeding techniques, and discharge planning
Recommend adaptive equipment and positioning strategies to promote infant comfort and developmental progression
Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based neonatal therapy practices
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience, including NICU experience
Current California Occupational Therapist license required
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current NBCOT certification required
Current BLS certification required
Experience with neonatal developmental care, feeding interventions, and family-centered care preferred
Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
